Swagelok® 1/4 " OD Tube Adapter x 1/4" NPT Female Pipe 316 Stainless Steel Instrument Grade Part / Ref. SS-4-TA-7-4 The tube adapter/stub end can be inserted into tube fitting body such as a Union, Elbow, Tee, Cross or even a Valve and is interchangeable with other major manufactures of the dual ferrule system such as Swagelok, Parker A-Lok, Hoke Gyrolok, Bi-Lok, Brennan, DK-Lok, Ham-Let, HY-Lok, SSP, Superlok, and Tylok. It is even interchangeable with single ferrule fittings such as Parker CPI, Tylok CS-Lok, SSP Unilok, and Ham-Let One-Lok. Tube adapters are recommended where space is a premium. Other features include: Eliminates alignment problems when installing pipe elbows or tees. Reduce inventory. The need for stocking special elbows and tees is not required. Effects a union at every joint to allow for complete assembly, disassembly and reassembly. No more "deburring" and cutting short lengths of tubing. Allows close coupling with pre-determined lengths. Important Note: This is a NPT (National Pipe Taper) thread fitting and is not available for purchase as an NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) variant in 316 stainless steel. NPTF, also referred to as "Dryseal" is designed to provide a leak free seal without PTFE (Teflon) tape. However, according to Parker Industries, all NPTF fittings should require tape/sealant. NPT fittings always require tape and are interchangeable and compatible with NPTF. NPT/NPTF size is not a measured size but rather an industry designation and does not represent the actual inside or outside diameter of the fitting. For example, a 1/4" NPT/NPTF fitting is over 1/2" outside diameter.
