The following gear set to fits a South Bend 9 B,C Lathe(Change gear lathe - no gear box).16T, 24T, 36T, 40T, 44T, 46T, 48T, 52T, 54T, 56T, 60T, and 18/72T combination gear.Also includes 80T Screw gear and 80T Idler gear.This was the standard set of gears shipped from the South Bend Factory with new lathes. NOTE: These are plastic 3dprinted gears of "high quality".I have 100's in the field in use as well as running on my 10K lathe. Specifically engineered (and Tested) for application as a plastic gear!The 18/72 T gear is a bushed gear to an ID of 0.625"The bushing is a special stepped pressed in bushing to allow a stronger 18T gear tooth.Also the 18T gear tooth width is 0.425 in., creating greater strength. Specifically engineered 16T gear to add strength!The 16T gear is of a special flanged design and overall width of 0.450 in. (ID = 9/16) for added strength.It's design includes a "step down" shoulder to significantly increase shear strength. All of the other stud gears are normal 9/16" ID and width of 0.375" with keyway accepting a 1/8 x 1/8 key.All the standard sized gears 24T through 60T are well proven and should perform flawlessly. Cutting Metric Threads:If you want to "add" metric threading to this gear set, you would need a transposing gear (63/80T or 100/120T) as well as a 100T screw gear and 18T, 20T, 22T, 26T, 28T stud gears.
