Description: Parasites can lead to a variety of health issues in horses including organ damage and respiratory problems. In addition, parasite infestations may contribute to colic, which sometimes results in expensive surgery or even death. Panacur® Equine Dewormer is a paste dewormer for horses that provides effective treatment and control of the following equine parasites: Large strongyles Small strongyles Pinworms Ascarids Panacur® Equine Dewormer contains the active ingredient fenbendazole in an apple-cinnamon flavored paste. It is safe for use in horses and foals of any age, including mares at any stage of pregnancy, and will not adversely affect stallion fertility. One 25 g syringe will treat 1100 lbs of body weight. Administer orally. Features: Equine dewormer paste for comprehensive parasite control Controls strongyles, pinworms and ascarids Contains the active ingredient fenbendazole Safe for foals, pregnant mares and breeding stallions Provided as an apple-cinnamon flavored paste Supplied as a 25 g Directions: Panacur® (fenbendazole) Paste 10% is administered orally at a rate of 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg). One syringe will deworm a 1,100 lb horse. For foals and weanlings (less than 18 months of age) where ascarids are a common problem, the recommended dose is 4.6 mg/lb (10 mg/kg); one syringe will deworm a 550 lb horse.
