2 Gallon Double Wall Metal Poultry Fount Little Giant Double Wall Metal Poultry Fount Maintains a constant water level for watering chickens, turkeys, and other poultry Sloped top prevents roosting Heavy-gauge galvanized steel with rolled edges for safety Can be used with a heater base such as the Little Giant Electric Water Heater Base (Item No. HB125, sold separately) Holds 2 gallons Little Giant Double Wall Metal Poultry Fount is a heavy duty stand alone waterier ideal for chickens, turkeys, other poultry, and game birds. This fount is fabricated out of heavy-gauge galvanized steel with rolled edges for protection. It has a double-wall which features an inner tube with a heavily built arched handle for transporting or carrying the filled fount and an outer tube with its dedicated handle for convenience. It also features a locking pin to grip the outer tube in place while the angled top prevents roosting. A copper spring and neoprene seal is created whenever the outer tube is inserted over the inner tube which maintains a constant level in the drinking pan. All seams are tested to prevent leaks or dribbles. One of the key advantages of metal founts is the ability to use the fount during winter with a heater base (sold separately). This particular fount is not for hanging and must be placed on the floor or ground. Hold the handle and twist the top counter clockwise to ‘unlock’ and remove the outer jacket Rinse inner and outer jacket with water before first use – Fill the fount NOTE: The valve and base may seep some water when filling the fount; this is normal and will stop when the outer jacket is replaced and a vacuum is created. IMPORTANT: It is recommended a filled fount be carried using the inner handle. If carrying a filled fount with the outer handle, use caution as the vacuum can be broken causing potential leakage.
