250 – Atlas 1/4″-14 x 7/8″ HWI LAP/STITCH Self-Tapping Hex Screws in Slate Gray
This package of 250 Stitch Screws is unopened and in its original package. They have a higher grade design than most ordinary stitch screws as the entire metal washer below the head of the screw is built into the head in a one piece dome cap design. Also included in that design on the underside is a very nice cupped flange edge built in, to hold the extra thick tubular rubber washer that seals the screw to the metal that is being stitched, thereby preventing the rubber washer from being flattened out and becoming a bad seal at the time of installation, or later on, when it has weathered in a bad way from being over tightened. The rubber washer is also designed much differently from the average as it has has notches built into the inner ring that would prevent the washer from being cut by the screw threads when overtightened to any degree, which is easy to do. Also the outside edge of the washer is painted the same color as the screw head, which is a nice clean-finish look feature. Also from the point of the screw, there is a great quality 3/8″ long self tapping cutting edge that hones out the hole to the size that the screw threads can effectively grab and stitch the metal materials. The complete colored washer and head of the screw being joined is a very good look, and it has a very nice high gloss quality paint job. The Slate Grey color is a good blending color for a lot of grays, browns, and greens. I have never seen a stitch screw that was so well designed. Hopefully the pictures with this description will help you appreciate what I am seeing. Look close most stitch screws don’t have these features. The picture of the screw on its side showing the color well, is just a shade darker than looking at it in person. The total weight of this item is 3.3 pounds.
