Optifoam Gentle Silicone Faced Foam Dressing 4″ x 4″ Adhesive Border – Box of 10 #MSC1044 Information as Provided by the Manufacturer of Medline Industries: * Optifoams waterproof, polyurethane backing helps maintain an optimally moist wound environment, helps prevent strike-through, and aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound. * Backings moisture vapor transmission rate adjusts depending on the fluid level in the wound. * Foam pad has micropores for low adherence to wound surface, yet has an extremely higher fluid-handling capacity than other brands. * Medline Optifoam Adhesive Foam is an all-in-one dressing made up of specially designed foam which helps minimize the chances of granulation tissue migrating into the foam. * It’s waterproof outer layer helps prevent strike through and aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound. Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) of Optifoam Dressing adjusts depending on the fluid level in the wound. * Indications: pressure ulcers, partial and full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, donor sites, lacerations and abrasions, skin tears, and first- and second-degree burns.
