Alpha PEX-A Tubing by PEX GUY 5/8″ x 500 ft Red Alpha PEX-A Expansion Tubing with Oxygen Barrier(for Radiant Heating and Potable Water)- Made in the European Union – Alpha PEX-A Tubing with Oxygen Barrier by PEX GUY can be used for radiant heating and potable water systems for both residential and commercial applications. NSF Certified to ASTM Standard ensure that it meet or exceeds USA quality standards. Manufactured to SDR-9 Dimension standards; this can even be used with the F1960 expander-style (Uponor/Wirsbo) fittings as well as other popular PEX fitting systems (see list below).PEX-A is manufactured using the “Engel” method which results in the highest degree of crosslinking around 85 percent. Advantage of this method is the great flexibility, allowing the tightest bend radius to eliminate fittings and easier installation. PEX-A also offers a unique thermal and elastic memory which means kinks in the PEX can be repaired with the use of a heat gun. The higher degree of crosslinking of PEX-A also offers greater durability in freeze/thaw cycles, keeping the integrity of the pipe intact.
