These belts are manufactured with closed coat, premium zirconia grains which in heavy duty applications can last up to 2.5 times as long as their aluminum oxide counterpart. Additionally, these zirc belts designed a grinding aid to decrease loading and heat while in use. These zirconia alumina grains are coated on top of heavy duty Y-Weight poly-cotton backing for increased durability making these belts great for metal grinding, stock removal, sharpening a knife blade as well as deburring and finishing in the higher grits.
