SUS304 Hose Clamps High Corrosion Resistance by Duda Energy. 304 Stainless Steel Hose clamps offer high resistance to corrosion. 304 stainless steel works excellent in most applications, especially in wet enviornments or where the hose clamps may be exposed to corrosive gases or chemicals. Duda Energy SUS304 hose clamps are made entirely of 304 stainless steel, including the screw so that you can be assured the hose clamp can removed without excessive rust build-up in the screw. Hose clamps made with lower quality stainless steel, such as 201 or 301 do not contain enough Nickel and corrode quickly in normal operating enviornments. Hose clamps which have a zinc-plated screw experience galvanic corrosion to the screw and will be nearly impossible to remove after a short period due to rapid rust build-up in the screw.
