LINDE 52mm. Length, 6mm. Diameter Sapphire Optical Maser Crystal Used and ends are a little scratched. See attached photos. Vintage Linde synthetic ruby optical maser / laser crystal rod measuring approximately 52 mm long x 6 mm diameter, marked “Trans: 19.2 Refl: 75.5” and noted as having somewhat damaged coating. This appears to be a chromium-doped sapphire (ruby) solid-state laser rod, a classic early optical maser / laser material used in photonics, spectroscopy, resonator experiments, and vintage scientific research systems. The pink coloration, Linde provenance, and transmission/reflection markings suggest a polished and coated laser-grade optical crystal rather than a raw sapphire blank.
