Very Popular!South Bend Lathe 9 or 10K, Cross Slide Dial Indicator Holder. Condition is a New 3dprinted quality part. Shipped USPS First Class.NOTE: This part is made using 3dprint technology and is a plastic material but very durable and serves the purpose perfectly! DIAL INDICATOR NOT INCLUDE!DIAL INDICATOR NOT INCLUDE!DIAL INDICATOR NOT INCLUDE! This dial indicator mounting bracket and magnetic block, allows mounting of a DIAL INDICATOR (NOT INCLUDE) to the back side of the lathe saddle. On the South Bend 10K lathe, one of the tapper attachment mounting holes is used. On the SB 9" the tapper attachment PAD exists but will have to be drilled and tapped to accept a mounting bolt.1/4 - 20 up to 3/8 - 16 size ok. NOTE: This mount DOES WORK with the "Taper Attachment Cross Slide" but NOT when the complete "Taper Attachment" is mounted. A magnetic probe block allows EASY adjusting of the indicator probe home location by simply sliding the block. If an OVER run (movement in) of the saddle reaches the end of the probe travel, the sliding magnetic block simply slides preventing any damage. IMPORTANT: Dial indicator must be a "Flat Back" indicator to provide clearance for the cross slide.I just cut the "lug" off the back of one of my cheap "Chinese" indicators. Easy to do. NOTE: Mounting requires use of EXISTING hole on carriage of SB 10K lathes OR....SB 9" lathes (or lathes WITHOUT hole) require drill and tapping of mounting hole in lathe saddle. 1/4 - 20 up to 3/8 - 16 size ok. IMPORTANT: The design may be slightly different than the images in this listing but will have equally or better functionality. Newer revisions always "improve" the product. Thanks for LOOKING!!!!!!!
